  • Jacquelyn Cuneen

    Jacquelyn Cuneen was inducted into the inaugural College of Applied Human Sciences Hall of Fame in 2025. She was previously inducted into the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Hall of Fame in 2011.

    Cuneen earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University and completed graduate study at the State University of New York College at Cortland. She received an EdD in physical education from West Virginia University in 1988.

    Patrick Hartwick

    2011 Outstanding Alumni Award

    Patrick Hartwick was recognized as an Outstanding Alumnus by the College of Education and Human Services in 2010.

    Hartwick earned a doctoral degree in special education from West Virginia University in 1987. He later served as dean of the Donald E. and Helen L. Ross College of Education at Lynn University (2007–2010). His prior appointments included dean of the School of Education at Southern New Hampshire University and 12 years at Daemen College as associate professor, principal investigator and administrator for federal and state grants, department chair for education, and director of special programs. Earlier in his career, he taught in K–12 classrooms for more than a decade.

    William C. “Wood” McCue was inducted into the inaugural College of Applied Human Sciences Hall of Fame in 2025. He was previously inducted into the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Hall of Fame.

    A Lewisburg, W.Va., native, McCue earned a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University in 1955; a certificate in physical therapy from the Medical College of Virginia in 1956; a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan in 1962; and a master’s degree in city planning from the University of Cincinnati in 1968. As a WVU undergraduate, he served as a student athletic trainer for football and men’s basketball under head athletic trainer Whitey Gwynne.

    Tim McNeely was inducted into the inaugural College of Applied Human Sciences Hall of Fame in 2025. He was previously inducted into the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Hall of Fame in 2011.

    A Logan County, W.Va., native, McNeely earned his undergraduate degree in sport management from West Virginia University in 1992, graduating magna cum laude and receiving NASPE Student of the Year honors. A four-year letterwinner under Coach Gale Catlett, he played guard for the Mountaineer men’s basketball program. He completed a JD at the WVU College of Law in 1995.

  • Anna Jean Minnick

    Anna Jean Minnick was inducted into the inaugural College of Applied Human Sciences Hall of Fame in fall 2025. She was previously inducted into the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Hall of Fame in 2011.

    A native of Marlinton, W.Va., Minnick earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education from West Virginia University in 1949, a Master of Science from WVU in 1964, and a Ph.D. from New York University in 1970, with postdoctoral study at the University of Utah, Penn State, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
