Biographical Sketch

My name is Rachel Wattick and I am a Teaching Assistant Professor in Health and Well-Being. I teach PASS 401: Foundations of Health Education and PASS 402: Core Concepts in Health Education. Previously, I worked in the Lifestyle Intervention Research Lab in the Animal and Nutritional Sciences division at WVU.

My research interests include food addiction, which was the focus of my dissertation, as well as psychosocial determinants of eating behavior and culinary medicine. I primarily work with the college-attending young adult population and have worked with individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.

I’ve completed all of my degrees at WVU in nutrition and food science and additionally I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

I’m originally from Canonsburg, PA but have resided in Morgantown since 2014.
