Biographical Sketch

Dr. Monica Leppma is an Associate Professor and core faculty member in the Counseling Program (Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Tracks) at West Virginia University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include protective factors, mindfulness, self-compassion and issues affecting academic achievement. She is currently the Growth Mindset Specialist for the Mylan STEM-CARE project in West Virginia, and she collaborates regularly on research with WVU Mathematics and MindFit.
