Biographical Sketch

Lisa F. Platt is an associate professor of counseling and counseling psychology at West Virginia University. Originally from Wyoming, Dr. Platt earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Penn State University in 2008. Her research specializes in sexual, gender, and racial minoritized individuals and the mental health implications of discrimination and oppression. She is also a licensed psychologist in the state of West Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exercising.
