The oldest varsity sport at West Virginia University, Mountaineer football is a member of the Big 12 Conference. Football has been an intercollegiate sport at WVU since 1891 and ranks among the winningest programs in NCAA history. The Mountaineers are frequently on national television as a member of a Power 5 conference and are among a select group of programs invited to play in a bowl game in 17 out of the last 20 seasons. Football has produced 43 All-Americans since 2002 and nearly 110 overall selections in its history. WVU has had 26 players selected in the NFL Draft over the last nine years, which ranks near the top of all Big 12 schools. In all, nearly 200 players have been drafted by NFL teams as West Virginia has consistently sent players to the pro ranks. The Mountaineers are coached by Neal Brown, considered one of the top young, up-and-coming coaches in the game.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief of Staff with daily operations, manage guests at practices and home football games
- Conduct research on areas associated with college football, including social media, facilities and operations
- Manage the West Virginia Football Network, an online engagement platform for current and former WVU Football Student-Athletes
- Work collaboratively with other WVU Football units as appropriate

Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of On-Campus Recruiting/Assistant Director of Football Operations and On-Campus Recruiting Graduate Assistant with prepping and executing unofficial visits (game day visits, junior days, spring practice visits, etc.), and January, May, June, and December official visits.
- Assist with the execution of recruiting events, team, and special events on event days.
- Assist with day-to-day recruit operations.
- Other duties as assigned. Additional duties may be assigned due to student's interests/strengths.

Research and Analytics
Responsibilities
- Create and build optimal search tools to quickly scrape data from a variety of available data sources
- Organize different data sets used by the program in a single database

Responsibilities
- Assist the Coordinator of Scouting with comprehensive gathering and logging of information on opponents
- Manage the template creation of weekly scouting reports
- Responsible for tracking designated opponents throughout the year from a variety of information sources, and relay noteworthy events to applicable personnel
- Utilize video software to tag situations, create video libraries, and watch student-athletes on both our roster, and opponents rosters
- Work collaboratively with other WVU Football units
