Facilities

West Virginia University is home to some of the finest athletic facilities in the country, and maintaining and treating them with care are the responsibilities of the Athletics Facilities department. Gameday and daily practice operations along with maintenance and venue planning are just some of the responsibilities. Daily work includes dealing with coaches and administrators to schedule each facility and working with the general public on facility rentals. Gamedays are long and eventful, but the facilities staff knows that a fun and safe fan experience in WVU athletics venues means their gameday efforts were a success.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the pre-event setup of the athletic facility
  • Provide hospitality to visiting teams
  • Coordinate the sign-up and gameday execution of volunteer soccer ball shaggers
  • Disperse and collect radios used by staff for home events
  • Assist with the post-event tear down of the athletic facility
