Athletics Marketing

The Athletics Marketing Department is an important component to the overall athletic success at WVU. Tasked with in-game entertainment for fans at all major events along with cultivating and honoring corporate sponsorship contracts and involvement, the marketing department is a busy behind-the-scenes unit. Exciting game atmospheres, video board entertainment, promoting ticket sales, creative social media placement and organizing special events for fan interaction with the student-athletes all get their important start within the marketing department.;

Responsibilities

  • Assist the WVU Athletics Marketing Staff with game day duties
  • Manage and organize in-game promotions for sponsorship activation and fan engagement
  • Research new marketing and fan experience opportunities
  • Organize promotional and marketing items for events, and work on various projects
  • Assist staff in creation of marketing plans, social media execution, and game-day activities
