Approval Process
You are responsible for finding your own internship/experiential learning site, so start your search early! Please remember that you will not be able to register for your internship course until you have a signed CAHS Experiential Learning Site Approval form on file with the CAHS Office of Student Success.

Begin Your Search
- Reflect on your career goals.
- Update your resume (schedule an appointment with the CAHS Career Readiness Team for help).
- Apply to internship opportunities.
- Go to a Career Fair.
- Talk with faculty about options.
- Search online for organizations of interest.
- Talk/network with people in the community/profession.
- Review the experiential learning opportunities in the CAHS Office of Student Success Bulletin.

Secure Your Spot
Talk with potential internship sites to secure a spot within their organization. Confirm who your supervisor will be before submitting your site approval request.

Submit Your Request
Complete the CAHS Experiential Learning Site Approval Request form.
You must have the following information to complete the form:
- Position Title
- Site Name
- Site Location
- Site Supervisor Name and Contact Information
- Type of experience, knowledge, and skills you hope to gain
- How this opportunity supports your career goals

Wait for Approval
Your request will be reviewed by the CAHS Office of Student Success. If you have not received an approval or denial within one week, follow up to check the status of your request.

Register for Class
Upon approval, a CAHS Office of Student Success staff member will lift the registration hold on your Experiential Learning Course and email you more information.

Get further direction from your instructor
Review updates, announcements, and course requirements shared by your instructor near the start of the semester.
