Biographical Sketch

Dr. William Beasley serves as program coordinator for the instructional design and technology program at WVU. His research focus is currently on instructor presence and factors relating to success in online classes, and also on issues of accessibility as they relate to online instructional delivery. Since 2016 he has been a Faculty Associate of the WVU Teaching and Learning Commons, and he was formerly Associate Dean of University College at WVU.

William is an “early adopter” by nature. He started out as a public school teacher, and quickly discovered that he enjoyed teaching both with technology and about technology. Prior to coming to WVU, he was a faculty member at Cleveland State University where he received the Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching in 1998 and the University Faculty Merit Award in Teaching in 2003.
