General Application Scholarships

Scholarships in the College of Applied Human Sciences (CAHS) are made possible by our loyal alumni and friends of the College; because of their generosity, CAHS can provide financial support to our students annually. Most college/school scholarships are based on demonstrated academic merit, major and rank, geographic location, and extracurricular activities.

Scholarships are available for practically all CAHS programs and at all levels. Upon the successful completion of the scholarship application, the you will be entered into a pool of applicants, and scholarships will be awarded on merit by the CAHS scholarship committee.

Application Requirements

  • Applicants must be enrolled students in the WVU College of Applied Human Sciences.
  • The majority of CAHS scholarships are written for students with financial need; therefore, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) MUST be completed. FASFA forms are available online and at the WVU Financial Aid Office. Please visit the WVU Financial Aid Office for more information about FASFA.
  • When submitting a scholarship application, students must upload a one-page personal statement, and their resume which includes an activities summary:
    • Academic Background
    • Honors/Awards
    • Leadership Experience
    • Academic and Extracurricular Activities
    • Community Service
    • Work Experience
    • Any other information that you would like for us to know
