Teri Murray profile

Teri Murray has worked throughout her career in various areas of higher education, including enrollment management, academic advising, and student affairs. She currently serves as Associate Dean of Student Affairs & Enrollment Services at the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. Prior to Hopkins, she spent 22 years at Penn State University, most recently serving as Director of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at Penn State Berks.

As a member of the senior leadership team, Murray oversees all functions and services pertaining to a student’s academic and personal experience at the Johns Hopkins School of Education. Areas of oversight include student affairs, enrollment services, academic advising, career services, student engagement and accountability, international student support, crisis response, compliance, academic and student policies, and academic integrity. With a focus on students and their overall success, Murray leads a comprehensive and strategic approach to recruiting, engaging, retaining and supporting students throughout the entire student life cycle, from prospect to graduate.

Murray holds a master’s degree in higher education administration with a concentration in sports management and a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations, both from West Virginia University. She has been recognized multiple times for administrative excellence and for her work advising student organizations and student government.
