Sharon DeWitt profile

Sharon DeWitt earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from California State University, followed two years later by a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from West Virginia University.

DeWitt spent her entire career teaching elementary and middle school students in West Virginia. She began as a Career Education Specialist at Shepherd College. She completed her career teaching sixth-grade English at Mountaineer Middle School in Morgantown, where she served as Secretary of the Faculty Senate and as a PLC (Professional Learning Community) Leader.

DeWitt is a life member of the Morgantown Service League and was a member of the Morgantown Community Visions Foundation's Vision 20/20. She is an Old Gold Member of the West Virginia University Alumni Association. She serves on the Blaney House Visiting Committee and the Leadership Board of the WVU Cancer Institute. She is Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors for the WVU Alumni Naples, FL Chapter.

DeWitt and her husband, Tom, also a WVU graduate, have homes in Morgantown and Naples, FL.
