Swimming and Diving

West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving is part of the Big 12 Conference. The men’s program has been competing as an intercollegiate sport at WVU since 1953 while the women first began competing in 1974. Both programs have produced numerous NCAA qualifiers, All-Americans and Olympic athletes during their existence. The Mountaineers are now competing in a new $48 million, 50-meter aquatic center officially dedicated in the fall of 2018 at Mylan Park.
