Lucky Lucente is a Lead Pre-K Teacher at the WVU Nursery School laboratory school. She earned her Master of Arts in Elementary Education (K–6) from West Virginia University and holds a West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood endorsement. Since beginning her teaching career in 2017, Lucente has worked with learners in diverse educational settings both in the United States and internationally.

Her teaching experience includes work in Thailand, Australia, and Italy, where she taught students learning English as a second or foreign language using Total Physical Response (TPR) and other engaging instructional strategies. She also teaches literacy and language development through online learning platforms and provides individualized tutoring using the Barton Reading & Spelling System to support students with dyslexia.

At the WVU Nursery School, Lucente mentors WVU students completing literacy capstone projects and helps guide undergraduate work-study students within the laboratory school environment. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in differentiated instruction, play-based learning, and developmentally appropriate practice, with a strong emphasis on project-based learning and creating classroom environments where curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exploration drive learning.
