Biographical Sketch
Kristen is the Field and Clinical Experience Coordinator for the College of Applied Human Sciences. She secures field experience and clinical student teaching and residency placements in K-12 schools for students pursuing education and counseling degrees in programs across campus. She knows the importance of strong relationships between the university and local public schools and enjoys supporting students as they get firsthand experiences out in these schools.
Kristen was born and raised in Fairmont, WV and currently lives there with her husband and two daughters. After earning her master's in teaching at WVU, Kristen began her teaching career as a middle school mathematics teacher in Morgantown. She then transitioned to higher education by working as a Service Assistant Professor with the previous undergraduate mathematics and science education program at WVU before taking on this role as placement coordinator. In her free time Kristen loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her family!
